Hiring the Right Way
Attracting the top talent is essential for the success of any medical practice, but it’s not as easy as it used to be. Your top applicants are more discerning than ever before and more vocal about transparency and fairness in the hiring process. Recently, the EEOC began taking a special interest in hiring issues. From artificial intelligence to pay equity to ADA claims, the hiring process is full of legal pitfalls.
Join us for an informative and interactive session that will equip you with the tools you need to evaluate and update your hiring policies and procedures.
The Following Topics will be addressed:

Vulnerable Leader: Igniting Awakened Leadership to Bring CARE back to Healthcare
Growth, while outstanding, often directs attention away from the core values and overarching mission of any practice, in any industry. With healthcare being one of the fastest growing sectors, it’s no surprise that consumers and employees have witnessed a derailing of the true intention of healthcare: care.
This is not unique as leaders often forget that without people, who need to know their value, that they are cared for, and fundamentally have meaningful connections at work and with their health care providers, there is no industry.
Recently, the corporate and professional training team at Virginia Western Community College have been focusing in on generational variances and overall health in the workplace, discovering that the elements of awakened leadership is currently trumping all other forms of leadership in the marketplace today and harboring results of higher patient/customer satisfaction, and a more highly engaged workforce – and therefore, retained – workforce.
Driven on transparency, trust, and respect, igniting awakened leadership in your practice will ultimately return care to healthcare and offer additional relevance for increased retention rates and a higher performing staff.

Building Better Practices: Small Changes, Big Impact
In his international bestseller, Atomic Habits, James Clear provides critical insight as to how small, incremental, and seemingly almost insignificant, changes stacked on one another over time, can produce almost unbelievable change. The principles that Clear emphasizes in Atomic Habits, not only apply to personal outcomes but can also be applied to businesses for the same dramatic improvements over a relatively short period of time. This session will be an engaging stroll through the parallels between the principles of Atomic Habits and the principles of Entrepreneurs Operating System to provide insights on how you can practically apply these principles to achieve the desired outcomes of your medical practice.
